- Nakheel awards to ADC Energy Systems an EPC contract for the construction of a District Cooling Plant at Dragon Mart worth nearly AED40 million

The dragon-shaped Chinese shopping and trading center, already the largest outside of China, will double in size by 2014 with the addition of a second Dragon Mart, dubbed Dragon Mart Phase 2.
On the 21st of May 2013, The Dubai developer Nakheel has awarded a contract for AED36.5 million to ADC Energy Systems for the design and construction of the cooling plant at its Dragon Mart extension project along with an option on 3 years Operation and Maintenance Contract.
Dragon Mart Phase 2 will cover a 177,000 square meter area, which will house 570 new stores. The new two-story structure will also host a 240-room, three-star hotel, a nine-screen cinema, a food court, and a multi-deck parking area with space for an additional 2,000 vehicles to park.
The new facility includes a 7,500 Tons of Refrigeration cooling plant to serve the new mall, hotel and parking area, the contract for which was awarded to ADC Energy Systems based in Dubai, and construction of which is expected to be completed by quarter 2 of 2014.
