- ADC bags three out of three plants in Saadiyat Island
18 June 2013
- Following the engagement by Saadiyat Cooling of ADC Energy Systems for the first 2 plants in Saadiyat island, PAL Technology, an Abu Dhabi based district cooling and utility company and mandated by Tourism Development Investment Company (TDIC) to undertake the construction and operation of New York University’s dedicated district cooling plant, has awarded an EPC contract to ADC in the first quarter of 2013. As if completing the first permanent District Cooling Plant in the prestigious Saadiyat Island in August of 2013, and getting an expanded mandate by Saadiyat Cooling to construct its second plant, were not sufficient, the third plant in Saadiyat under the mandate of ADC will be built in record time and inline to produce cooling with summer temperature highs of 2014.
The scope of this plant is quite diverse: 16,000 Tons of Cooling with a thermal energy storage tank, an extensive network of underground transmission pipes, and one very large Energy Transfer Station for separating the transmission lines from the distribution lines
