MASDAR, also known as the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, is a renewable energy company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company’s mission is to invest in renewable energy and clean technology in Abu Dhabi and around the world for both financial and social returns. MASDAR City, as the world’s most sustainable eco-neighborhood, is designed by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company to reduce energy and water consumption and features an integrated, smart transportation network that makes the community accessible and livable. The low-carbon, low-waste city will rely entirely on renewable energy. The vision for the development is to achieve a sustainable footprint within the boundary of the city with resilience to allow the development and incorporation of future sustainable technologies as they mature.
