SHAMS AD DCP

Procurement, Construction & Commissioning of 57,000 TR District Cooling Plant in addition to 2-year Operation & Maintenance. The DC Plant is designed to
produce 48,000 TR through water-cooled mechanical system. A TES tank is used to provide additional capacity of 9,000 TR.
This DC Plant is intended to serve the whole Shams Abu Dhabi Development.

PAL Cooling Holding

PCH is a fully owned subsidiary of IHC. With over 450,000 TR signed concessions and a healthy pipeline network, PCH is one of the top players in district cooling industry in UAE today. PCH has seven fully owned subsidiaries and has partnered with leading master developers, including Aldar Properties, Al Qudra, Al Tamouh Investment and Reem Developers. Development of DC Facilities in these concession areas are at different stages of design, construction, and operation. PCH owns and operates number of district cooling plants across the city of Abu Dhabi having combined design capacity of 245,000 RT with current installed capacity of 85,000 RT.

Shams Development

Shams Abu Dhabi is one of the three project developments being built on Al Reem Island. The estimated AED 25 billion (US$ 6.9 billion) project occupies approximately 25% of the island, covering 14.2 million square feet (1.32 million square meters) and is to house around 45,000 residents.

Shams Abu Dhabi comprises residential living areas that occupy 90% of the project, while the remaining 10% will be used for commercial and recreational areas. It will contain around 100 land plots providing 22,000 residential units and a million square metre park named Shams Park. The entrance of the development will feature the Shams Gate, an 8-building development which includes the 74-storey Sky Tower and 65-storey Sun Tower.
