Jumeirah Village Circle DCP

The world's first unmanned, fully automated district cooling plant — AI-adjusted chilled-water flow on advanced SCADA.

For Empower's Jumeirah Village Circle community, ADC built a 49,600 TR district cooling plant with six chiller modules and two 12,200 m³ thermal energy storage tanks — the world's first unmanned, fully automated district cooling plant, with chilled-water flow adjusted by AI on an advanced SCADA platform and no operator in the building.

The LEED Gold-certified plant is supported by an 11 kV intake distributing 37 MW and by a 6,500 m³/day reverse osmosis plant that supplies cooling-tower makeup water from treated sewage effluent instead of potable supply.
